Originally Pars Pro Toto was an audio/video installation exhibited at LÁ Art Museum, where 6 Nordic artists exhibited pieces reflecting on global warming in the Nordic Hemisphere.
The melting glaciers in Iceland are the inspiration for this composition. The beauty of nature is represented by the sound of a piano playing a melodic & comforting melody. Slowly the piece goes goes under water, as if the music is drowning. The change happens slowly, and our senses become numbed by the beauty of the gradual transition. It is only when it’s gone that we miss what we once had.
Quite the Situation is a three-fold artwork: Album release, Video + Audio Installation, and a book work.
The installation will be premiered in the spring of 2021 at Reykjavík Art Festival & the first single will be released in April 2021. Follow Inki on Spotify so you don’t miss out or sign up to the email list and receive a notification.
